Premiere Dates: ONES UPON ZEROS

ONES UPON ZEROS premieres at tanzhaus nrw, 3–5 July 2026: a dance piece where body, technology and perception meet in shifting realities.

From 3–5 July 2026, our new production ONES UPON ZEROS will premiere at tanzhaus nrw.

What is real if reality is shaped by how we perceive it?

At the intersection of dance, technology and the body, ONES UPON ZEROS reflects on the societal impact of emerging technologies such as quantum computing and artificial intelligence. Combining choreography with VR, AR and algorithmic systems, the piece explores how reality is produced today – between observation, data and identity.

Four performers move between a physical stage and virtual environments. Their movements interact with digital systems in real time, creating shifting layers of physical and virtual presence.

Inspired by ideas from quantum physics and perception research, the work approaches reality not as something fixed, but as something that emerges through interaction and observation.

Rather than explaining these ideas, ONES UPON ZEROS creates a sensory space in which they can be experienced. The body becomes a meeting point between physical and digital worlds – and a place to reflect on responsibility, participation and the future in an increasingly digital society.

We look forward to sharing the premiere with you at tanzhaus nrw.
